Czechia vs Turkiye Team News
Czechia are hopeful that star striker Patrik Schick will overcome a knock to start against Turkiye on Wednesday night. The Bayer Leverkusen striker was forced off midway through the second half on Saturday's 1-1 draw with Georgia shortly after netting the equaliser.
Turkiye will be forced into at least one change with Abdulkerim Bardakci suspended. Merih Demiral should deputise at the heart of the defence. Mert Gunok and Arda Guler may both return to the starting XI here.
Czechia vs Turkiye Probable XIs
Czechia (3421) - Stanek; Holes, Hranac, Krejci; Coufal, Soucek, Provod, Jurasek; Cerny, Hlozek; Schick
Turkiye (4231) - Gunok; Celik, Akaydin, Demiral, Kadioglu; Calhanoglu, Ayhan; Guler, Kokcu, Yildiz; Yilmaz
Czechia vs Turkiye Key Battle
Having come into the side for the 1-1 draw with Georgia, David Jurasek may keep his place at left wing-back in the Group F meeting with Turkiye. The 23-year-old put in a solid if unspectacular showing in the stalemate but he may have his work cut out on Wednesday night.
That's because Jurasek could well come up against Arda Guler in Hamburg. Guler was dropped to the bench for the 3-0 loss to Portugal on Saturday, which was a surprise given his goal against Georgia. Guler ended the La Liga campaign strongly and he'll be out to once again prove why he's one of the most highly rated youngsters on the continent.
