David De Gea

Fresh off the back of a morale boosting victory over fierce rivals Liverpool, United travel to face a Villa side that have scored the fewest goals in the Premier League (10). The Red Devils had De Gea to thank at times last time out and the Spaniard is in great form, conceding just 3 goals in their current 6-game winning streak.

Seamus Coleman

Everton may have had a disappointing campaign to date but they'll be hoping build on their win against QPR and heap more misery on a Saints side well and truly on the slide. Ronald Koeman's men have netted just twice in a winless run of 5 league matches and Gaston Ramirez, now at Hull, is the only Southampton player to score against Everton in 4 games. Coleman, meanwhile, netted in a 2-1 win over the Saints last season.

Eliaquim Mangala

He may have taken time to settle in the Premier League, and certainly hasn't been without fault, but Eliaquim Mangala appears to be slowly finding his feet. The Frenchman will hope to help City to keep another clean sheet against Palace despite the likely absence of Vincent Kompany, with the champions having kept the Eagles at bay twice last season. The Citizens, meanwhile, have conceded just 1 goal in their last 5 matches in all competitions.

Winston Reid

West Ham will be looking to strengthen their early season bid for an unlikely European berth against the league's bottom club Leicester this weekend, and you'd have to fancy their chances. The Hammers have conceded just 2 in 5 at home while the Foxes have netted only 4 away from home all season. Reid, meanwhile, scored in the last fixture between the two back in 2012.

Branislav Ivanovic

With a change of captain available after the weekend's fixtures it may be worth banking on a Chelsea defender when they face Stoke on Monday night. The Blues have kept a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7 meetings with the Potters in all competitions and Ivanovic, who has scored twice away from the Bridge already this season, is always an asset at either end.

Adam Johnson

Sunderland certainly don't win many games but when it comes to Wearside derbies they're always pumped up for the occasion having gone unbeaten in 5 matches, winning the last 3, against Newcastle. Adam Johnson has scored 3 goals against the Magpies in his career, including one in each of his last 2 appearances at St. James' Park.

Leroy Fer

QPR have very much been a Jekyll & Hyde team this season, performing well at Loftus Road and terribly away from home. They'll be glad to be back at home against West Brom then, and Leroy Fer has shone in front of the Hoops' support this season, scoring in back-to-back matches at Loftus Road as well as netting a goal and registering an assist in his only appearance against the Baggies to date.

Santi Cazorla

While he has been one of relatively few Arsenal players to maintain decent form over the course of the season Santi Cazorla has really come to life in recent weeks. The Spaniard has now scored 3 goals and assisted a further 3 in his last 5 appearances in all competitions, as well as having netted in 2 of his 4 league outings against Liverpool, so he may be a good choice for your skipper on Sunday.

Christian Eriksen

Fast becoming Tottenham's saviour after another late winner last time out, Christian Eriksen took his league tally to 6 for the league campaign against Swansea, with his third goal in 5 matches. The Dane's goals have now directly earned Spurs 9 points this season and they face a Burnley side that have conceded 12 in their last 5 matches away from home.

Wilfried Bony

The top scorer in the calendar certainly shows no sign of letting up his form in front of goal as 2014 draws to a close having scored in 4 of his last 5 appearances (registering an assist in other), and in 3 of his last 4 on the road. The Ivorian will be hoping to add to his league tally against a Hull side with the worst home record (6 points) in England's top-flight.

Wayne Rooney

With 3 goals and an assist in his last 4 league appearances Wayne Rooney continues to pose a real threat from a deeper position under Louis van Gaal. Given that the United captain has netted more goals against this weekend's hosts Aston Villa than any other team (14), he's worth entrusting with your armband too, particularly when considering the Villans have conceded in each of their last 6 at home.
