DraftKings: The top WhoScored performers from GW4 in the Premier League

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart (Burnley) – 8.26 rating

Burnley suffered their third straight defeat in the Premier League before the international break, losing 2-0 at home to Manchester United. It would have been a lot worse had it not been for Joe Hart between the sticks. The 31-year-old made seven saves, including denying Paul Pogba from the spot.

Alex McCarthy (Southampton) – 8.19

Southampton hasn’t particularly caught the eye so far this season but Alex McCarthy has been one of few positives for Mark Hughes side, earning his first England call-up in the process. Only Hart (21) has made more saves than McCarthy (20) of all Premier League goalkeepers this season.

Neil Etheridge (Cardiff) – 8.14

DraftKings Salary - $3,700

Despite conceding three goals against Arsenal, Neil Etheridge continues to excel for Cardiff and the 28-year-old has arguably been the Seagulls best player this season. He made eight saves against the Gunners. His salary in fantasy this week is only $3,700 but Cardiff is away to Chelsea on Saturday and the Blues have a 100 per cent record this season.

Honorable Mention:

Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace) – 8.11 (DraftKings Salary: $4,900)

Rui Patricio (Wolves) – 7.58

Defenders:

Craig Cathcart (Watford) – 8.39

DraftKings Salary: $2,900

After an injury-hit last season, Craig Cathcart has emerged as a key player for Watford this season. The Hornets have made a perfect start to the season and Cathcart opened his account for the season with a goal against Tottenham before the international break. Watford tend to play well at home to Manchester United and the Hornets certainly have it in them to inflict more misery on Jose Mourinho this weekend. Cathcart’s salary this week is only $2,900 against his former club.

Cedric Soares (Southampton) – 8.15

After a poor start to the season, Cedric Soares returned to form in Southampton’s surprise 2-0 win away to Crystal Palace last time out. The Portugal international provided an assist in the win, while also creating two further goalscoring opportunities. He was important in defence, making six clearances to alleviate pressure on Alex McCarthy’s goal.

Matt Doherty (Wolves) – 8.09

Matt Doherty was important in attack and defence in Wolves’ 1-0 win over West Ham last time out, creating three goalscoring chances while also completing two tackles and winning six aerial duels. The 26-year-old has been an impressive performer for Wolves so far this season.

Honorable Mention:

Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal) – 8.07 (DraftKings Salary: $3,700)

Jose Holebas (Watford) – 8.03 (DraftKings Salary: $5,600)

Christian Kabasele (Watford)– 7.93 (DraftKings Salary: $2,800)

Jonny (Wolves) – 7.82 rating

Sean Morrison (Cardiff) – 7.74 (DraftKings Salary: $2,800)

Midfielders:

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Southampton) – 8.53

After being sent off in his first appearance of the season, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg returned with a WhoScored Man of the Match performer in Southampton’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. The former Bayern Munich midfielder found the back of the net in the win and will hope to kick on from here when Premier League action resumes this weekend.

Phillip Billing (Huddersfield) – 8.30

DraftKings Salary: $3,900

Huddersfield have struggled to get going so far this season. Phillip Billing has been one of very few positives for the Terriers, helping David Wagner’s side earn a point away to Everton last time out. Billing scored in a 1-1 draw and his salary this week is $3,900. Huddersfield are away to Crystal Palace on Saturday in search of their first league win of the season. You cannot count them out given Palace lost at home to Saints before the break.

Joao Moutinho (Wolves) – 8.05

Joao Moutinho has proved an astute acquisition for the newly-promoted Wolves so far this season. The Portugal international created three goalscoring opportunities against West Ham last time out, completed two dribbles and attempted two shots. Not only that, but he completed four tackles and interceptions combined. Wolves don’t play until Sunday and cannot be considered for Saturday’s contests.

Honorable Mention:

James Milner (Liverpool)  – 7.75

Anthony Knockaert (Brighton) – 7.72

Jean Seri (Fulham) – 7.52 (DraftKings Salary: $5,000)

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)  – 7.51 (DraftKings Salary: $5,700)

Granit Xhaka (Arsenal)– 7.51 (DraftKings Salary: $4,300)

Mario Lemina (Southampton) – 7.50

Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United) – 7.46 (DraftKings Salary: $4,200)

Forwards:

Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United) – 9.04

DraftKings Salary: $9,400

Romelu Lukaku netted twice against Burnley before the international break but should have scored more. The Belgium international spurned several goalscoring opportunities to get his hat-trick, thwarted by Joe Hart on several occasions. He scored three goals in two games for Belgium over the international break and will hope to carry over his fine form against Watford this weekend. His salary this week is $9,400, but he should be considered for your teams.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) – 8.97

DraftKings Salary: $8,500

Alexandre Lacazette has been forced to be patient for his first-team opportunities this under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery but underlined against Cardiff last time out why he should start more often. The French striker scored one and provided an assist in Arsenal’s 3-2 win and should now be a regular for Emery. Arsenal host Newcastle this weekend and Lacazette’s salary is $8,500.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – 8.96

DraftKings Salary: $10,500

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has eased Eden Hazard back into the swing of things following his outstanding displays at the 2018 World Cup but the Belgium international has been in terrific form when utilised. Hazard has scored or assisted in each of his six appearances for club and country this season and is directly involved in a goal every 56 minutes of league action. His salary is $10,500 this week, but he should never be ruled out in your selections.

Glenn Murray (Brighton) – 8.46

Troy Deeney (Watford) – 8.15 (DraftKings Salary: $6,000)

Adama Traore (Wolves) – 8.12

Steve Mounie (Huddersfield) – 7.89 (DraftKings Salary: $4,500)

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)– 7.84 (DraftKings Salary: $9,600)
