Wales to upset England? Go hard or go home with WhoScored.com Games Big5

The World Cup of shocks continued in Round 2…

Japan followed up their victory over Germany with a loss to Costa Rica, Belgium’s pensioners underperformed yet again and Ecuador grabbed a point against Virgil van Dijk’s Netherlands!

The only thing that wasn’t a surprise was Gareth Southgate’s boring tactics in England’s snoozefest with the USA…

Will there be more of the same against Wales in Big5 Game 3? Our players have already won £6,500+ in Qatar and there’s another £1,000+ up for grabs this time!

Here are the fixtures in full for Big5, which kicks off on Tuesday, 29 November at 6.45pm.

Wales vs England

Tunisia vs France

Croatia vs Belgium

Serbia vs Switzerland

Cameroon vs Brazil

We’ve enlisted our tipster ‘The Mailman’ to give his picks for the action ahead. Let’s see if you agree!

The Mailman says…

My Pick

France (vs Tunisia)

The Tunisians followed their impressive performance against Croatia with a drab showing against Australia.

It was lifeless on the whole, with those from Northern Africa unable to produce enough gilt-edged chances to head towards a return of the points.

14 shots and 0.94xG, to be precise, now means they need a win against France.

That need to win will likely encourage opening spaces for France to exploit. Not ideal against the likes of Antoine Griezmann and company.

Potential Pick

Serbia (vs Switzerland)

The Serbs weren't quite at the level of Brazil, but not many are.

During World Cup qualification, Serbia went unbeaten, winning six from eight while also topping their recent Nations League group with one loss.

In short, this Serbia outfit is a tough nut to crack, equipped with clinical frontmen that'll shoot on sight - Aleksandar Mitrovic, who averaged 5.2 shots per 90 in World Cup qualifying).

One would assume that if the Swiss afford Serbia similar opportunities as they did against Cameroon (0.70xGA), Serbia will take advantage.

Risky Pick

Wales (vs England)

There will be a response from Wales - there always is against England!

The Iranian performance will have hurt, though the better team won. Unable to handle Iran on the counter and in transition, Wales conceded 21 attempts (1.49xG) as they limped towards a 2-0 loss.

Considering England registered six goals against Wales' most-recent opposition, it would take a brave person to side with the Dragons against an English ensemble needing three points to secure top spot.
