Pogba misses out on place in ultimate Leicester-Man Utd XI

Leicester take on Manchester United today with a place in the FA Cup semi-finals up for grabs. A trip to Wembley is on offer and a piece of silverware to add to the trophy cabinet enough motivation for both sets of players to put in all they can at the King Power Stadium today.

Ahead of the tie, we came up with a combined XI using the 2020/21 league ratings from starts. To come into consideration, players must have made 10+ Premier League starts this season, and the XI excludes injured or suspended players, so the likes of James Justin and Ricardo Pereira are ineligible.

It's a 6-5 split in this XI, with United edging out Leicester in the team as we run through the side.

Between the sticks, Kasper Schmeichel (6.70) secures his spot with David De Gea (6.47) missing out. Dean Henderson (6.70) has the same rating as Schmeichel from starts, but the United man has featured from the off just five times this season. United have one of the better defensive records in the Premier League this season and it's no surprise they have three of four players at the back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (7.13) and Luke Shaw (7.08) occupy the spots at right and left-back, respectively, with Harry Maguire (7.05) rounding off the United trio in defence. The United captain will look to put in another impressive display on his old stomping ground today. Wesley Fofana (7.16) rounds off the backline as the Frenchman continues to excel following his summer arrival from Saint-Etienne.

There isn't really a debate as to who should anchor the midfield. Wilfred Ndidi (7.39) has been superb for Leicester in 2020/21 and his inclusion in this combined XI would allow Scott McTominay (7.19) and Youri Tielemans (7.14) the chance to support the attack.

Similiarly, Bruno Fernandes (7.50) is a guaranteed inclusion in this XI when fit given his exceptional attacking performances in his first full season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. An all-English frontline of Jamie Vardy (7.24) and Marcus Rashford (7.19) complete the combined XI, though the latter is classed as a doubt for today's clash.
