Newcastle and West Ham to muscle in on Real Madrid misfit

Newcastle and West Ham are the latest Premier League sides to register an interest in Real Madrid misfit frontman Luka Jovic, reports 90Min.

The Serb's future in Spain has been subject to intense speculation in recent weeks as a host of Premier League outfits court the young forward.

Jovic only moved to Real Madrid last summer, but has struggled for game time and consistency, with four of his 15 league appearances coming from the off.

Totalling 392 minutes of league action, Jovic still has two goals and one assist to his name in LaLiga this term and his stock remains high across the continent.

London trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have all been monitoring Jovic's situation with Los Blancos, with Newcastle and West Ham the latest to been linked with a move for the young forward.

The Hammers, according to the Sunday Express, are prepared to cash in on club-record capture Sebastien Haller in the off-season and could use the funds to make a move for Jovic, though the duo enjoyed a fine striker partnership for Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham may jump at the chance to see the pair link up at the London Stadium.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are expected to have an injection of funds once their proposed takeover is completed and could make a move for Jovic to ease the goalscoring burden on misfiring frontmen Joelinton, Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle.
