Marseille have earmarked Inter outcast Geoffrey Kondogbia as one of many signings they want to make under their new owners, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football.
Kondogbia joined Inter from Monaco in a deal worth a reported €40m (£34.5m) and huge things were expected after he penned a five-year deal with the Serie A giants.
However, the former France international has failed to establish himself as the dominant midfielder many thought he would become and he has completely dropped down the pecking order this season.
As a result, the 23-year-old has now been linked with a return to Ligue 1, where a newly-owned Marseille outfit are interested in bringing the Frenchman home.
However, Kondogbia is reportedly not interested in returning to France despite his difficult situation at Inter, and would prefer a switch to the Premier League.
Kondogbia has only started four league games this season and is without a goal since November 2015 (vs Torino).
