Manchester United will miss out on signing Marseille midfielder Lass Diarra if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, reports Foot Mercato, via Get French Football.
Diarra, 31, is allowed to leave Marseille for a cut-price deal in the summer following their disastrous campaign and has prioritised a move to the Premier League with a team that can offer Champions League next season.
United have been regularly linked with a move for the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder this season following his resurgent campaign that has put him back in the fold in the French national set up.
Of players to have attempted at least 50 dribbles across Europe’s top five leagues this season only Mousa Dembele (92.2%) has done so with a greater success rate than Diarra (84.1%).
