Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has a £30m release clause in his new deal, according to The Times.
The 29-year-old’s incredible start to the season had seen him linked with a summer move away from Leicester City but the England international recently penned a new three-and-a-half-year deal keeping him at the King Power Stadium until 2019.
However, it has now been revealed that Vardy had a £30m release clause inserted into his improved terms, keeping alive a move to one of the league’s biggest clubs.
Despite the fact his goalscoring form has slowed over the second half of the season, he has still the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season (19); one ahead of Romelu Lukaku (18).
