Ziyech and Fernandes head up star studded Premier League November best XI

There's a London feel to the Premier League team of the month as West Ham and Chelsea dominate the best XI with three players apiece. There is also space in the side for two Manchester United stars, but it's an Aston Villa sensation that lands the player of the month gong.

Here, we run through the WhoScored team of the month for November of those to have made three or more appearances...

Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham) - 7.54

West Ham were the only side to win every league game in November and boast three players in the Premier League team of the month as a result, the first of whom is Lukasz Fabianski. The Polish shotstopper made 13 saves across his three outings, while only Hugo Lloris (3) kept more clean sheets than the Hammers star (2). Having conceded just one goal, Fabianski did enough to nail down the spot between the sticks with a WhoScored rating of 7.54.

Reece James (Chelsea) - 7.18

Three Chelsea players occupy a place in the Premier League team of the month, with Reece James the first Blues representative. The west London side enjoyed a fine November as they picked up seven points from three matches having defeated Sheffield United and Newcastle and drawn with Tottenham. Reece James played a key role for a Blues backline that conceded just once, making five tackles and interceptions combined, and while he didn't have a direct hand in a goal, the England international did enough to return a WhoScored rating of 7.18.

Harry Maguire (Manchester United) - 7.13

Manchester United began November with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, but won the following three league outings, defeating Everton, West Brom and Southampton. With nine points from four games last month, Harry Maguire is the first United representative with a WhoScored rating of 7.13. Maguire won more aerial duels (21) than any other centre-back in November to contribute towards his inclusion.

Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) - 7.16

Partnering Maguire at the heart of the defence is the second West Ham player in the Premier League team of the month. Aaron Cresswell has impressed since moving to centre-back in a three-man backline, helping the Hammers to two clean sheets from three matches. Creswell was unfortunate not to register an assist having made five key passes made eight accurate crosses to help land a WhoScored rating of 7.16.

Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) - 7.45

Ben Chilwell completes the defence as he bagged his second Premier League goal of his Chelsea career in November, finding the back of the net in their 4-1 win over Sheffield United. The Blues conceded just once last month with the left-back vital as he made nine clearances, two tackles and two interceptions as he garnered a WhoScored rating of 7.45.

Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) - 7.44

Rounding off the Chelsea contingent, Hakim Ziyech registered two assists in November; only Kevin De Bruyne (3) made more in the Premier League. Both assists came in a 4-1 win over Sheffield United, with the Moroccan putting in a man of the match shift against the Blades. Only two players made more clear-cut chances than Ziyech (3) last month as the creative star yielded a WhoScored rating of 7.44 to make the XI.

James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) - 7.95

The first central midfielder in the team of the month is Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse. Three of the four goals the Saints star has scored this season came in November, while his two assists in 2020/21 were in meetings with Aston Villa and Manchester United last month. All three of Ward-Prowse's goals were free kicks, that more than every other Premier League team combined in the Premier League last month, as the 26-year-old returned a WhoScored rating of 7.95.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.72

Like Ward-Prowse, Bruno Fernandes also had a direct hand in five league goals in November; no Premier League managed more than the midfield pair in the team of the month. No player created more clear-cut goalscoring chances than the Manchester United star (4) in November, while nine key passes was also a fine return as Fernandes secured a WhoScored rating of 7.72.

Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) - 8.19

With a WhoScored rating of 8.19, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is the WhoScored Premier League player of the month. The England international scored two and assisted two for the Villans in November and while Dean Smith's side didn't perform to expectations, Grealish excelled. No player made more key passes than the 25-year-old (11), while his 12 successful dribbles was the second best to help land the award.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) - 7.66

Only Bruno Fernandes (4) scored more goals than Dominic Calvert-Lewin (3) in November as the Everton star moved to the top of the goalscoring leaderboard, becoming the first player to break the 10-goal barrier in England's top tier this term in the process. The Toffees star dominated in the air, too, as he won more aerial duels (26) than any other Premier League player in November to help earn a WhoScored rating of 7.66.

Sebastien Haller (West Ham) - 7.63

Joining Calvert-Lewin on the frontline is the final West Ham representative in this XI. Sebastien Haller may have struggled to establish himself as a first team regular on the back of his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt, but the Ivorian gave a fine account of himself in November. The 26-year-old may have scored just once last month, that coming in a man of the match showing against Sheffield United, but only Calvert-Lewin (26) won more aerial duels than the Hammers man (25) as Haller emerged from November with a WhoScored rating of 7.63.
